Hawaii 2015
“Back in October of 2015, I had a blessed invitation by my sister to visit her and her husband, Collin, at their place in Hawaii. This was my first time visiting Hawaii, and a long time since I’ve flown to any general location. They were staying at Oahu, and they told me we would explore the whole island. At the time, I was barely getting into photography, and I felt this would be a prime time for me to invest in a nice starter camera. I knew I didn’t know much, but I also knew it’d be wise to invest on one at a very reasonable cost. As a result, I ended up purchasing a Sony NEX 5T. It is was a kit bundle, so it was conveniently purchased with a 16-50mm lens. It was also one of the last manufactured model NEX lines for Sony (they ended up turning into strictly Alpha series). Honestly, it was a sale price at Amazon, so I had to pull the trigger. What is reflected on hindsight is that it became one of the wisest purchases I ever had, and to this day is still my go-to camera. I had a wonderful experience experimenting with the different settings, and I was lucky enough to capture such great landscape from Hawaii. I hope you too can enjoy this.”
